Terms of sale

These Terms of Sale govern an order for Lifebase. The Seller is the person or entity identified as the seller of record on the product page, at checkout, on the invoice, or in the order confirmation.

1. Product and license

Lifebase is downloadable digital content and is licensed rather than sold. The purchased edition or version, personal or organization license, included files, material system requirements, price, currency, taxes, delivery method, and included update or support period are the details displayed on the product page, at checkout, and in the order confirmation.

Use of Lifebase is subject to the EULA.md. The proprietary notice is in ../LICENSE, and external software notices are in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.

2. Order and acceptance

An order is an offer to purchase the license described at checkout. The order is accepted when payment is authorized and the Seller or checkout provider sends an order confirmation or makes the download available.

The Seller may reject or cancel an order for a payment failure, pricing or product-description error, suspected fraud, legal restriction, or inability to supply the product. If payment was captured for a cancelled order, it will be refunded.

The customer must provide accurate information and keep the order confirmation. Access credentials and download links must not be shared.

3. Price, currency, and taxes

The checkout displays the applicable price and currency before purchase. Taxes may be included in the displayed price or added at checkout as local law and the checkout provider require.

The customer is responsible only for amounts clearly disclosed before the order is submitted. Bank, card, or currency-conversion fees imposed independently by the customer’s provider are outside the Seller’s control.

4. Delivery

Delivery normally occurs by download link, repository access, account library, or another electronic method stated at checkout. The customer should download and preserve the purchased package and order records.

If delivery fails, the customer should contact the support method shown on the product page or order confirmation. The Seller will restore access, provide a replacement delivery method, or issue an appropriate refund where the product cannot be supplied.

5. Digital-content consent

Where local law provides a withdrawal or cooling-off right for digital content, the checkout may ask the customer to:

1. expressly request immediate delivery before the withdrawal period expires; and
2. acknowledge that the withdrawal right may be lost once download or access begins.

The checkbox or equivalent action must not be selected in advance. Immediate-delivery consent does not waive remedies for failure to supply, material nonconformity, misrepresentation, fraud, or any right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If the customer does not consent to immediate delivery where such consent is required, delivery may be delayed until the applicable withdrawal period ends or the order may not be offered through that checkout.

6. Refunds

The REFUND_POLICY.md, checkout terms, and mandatory law govern cancellations and refunds. If those terms differ, the term that mandatory law or the responsible checkout provider requires will apply.

7. Updates and support

Only updates, support, or services expressly described on the product page or at checkout are included. Compatibility with future versions of Obsidian, plugins, operating systems, AI services, or other external products is not guaranteed unless expressly promised.

8. Checkout and payment providers

A storefront, marketplace, payment processor, or merchant of record may process the transaction and may apply additional payment, tax, fraud-prevention, privacy, and dispute terms. The responsible seller of record and support route are identified on the product page, at checkout, or in the order confirmation.

The PRIVACY_POLICY.md explains the Seller’s processing. A provider’s own privacy notice applies to information that provider collects for its services.

9. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes a statutory guarantee, remedy, withdrawal right, disclosure requirement, or other consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded. A mandatory local rule prevails to the extent it conflicts with these Terms.

10. Governing law and language

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless the order expressly states otherwise. This choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protection available under the law that would apply without the choice.

This English version controls unless the checkout or order confirmation expressly designates a localized version as controlling. Mandatory local-language requirements remain unaffected.

11. Contact

The Seller’s legal identity, geographic address, and direct contact method are the details displayed on the product page, at checkout, or in the order confirmation. Purchase, delivery, refund, and legal notices may be sent through that contact method.
