Refund policy

Effective date: 31 July 2026

Version: 1.0

Lifebase is downloadable digital content. This policy applies to purchases from the Seller identified at checkout, subject to the checkout provider’s applicable terms and mandatory local law.

Before delivery begins

If the download, repository access, or other digital delivery has not begun, the customer may request cancellation within 14 days after purchase. The Seller will approve the request unless delivery was delayed at the customer’s request or another lawful exception applies.

After download or access

Where permitted by law, a change-of-mind refund is not normally available after the customer expressly requested immediate delivery and the download or access began.

A refund, replacement delivery, repair, or other appropriate remedy remains available when:

  • the product was not supplied;
  • the customer was charged more than once for the same order;
  • the delivered package materially differs from the product description;
  • a material defect prevents the product’s ordinary stated use and is not corrected within a reasonable time;
  • the purchase was unauthorized or fraudulent, subject to reasonable verification; or
  • mandatory law or the responsible checkout provider requires the remedy.

Compatibility expectations must be based on the system requirements and supported versions disclosed before purchase. A third-party product changing after purchase does not by itself establish a defect in the delivered Lifebase version.

How to request a remedy

Use the contact method shown on the product page or order confirmation. Include:

  • the order number and purchase email;
  • the purchase date and product edition;
  • the requested remedy; and
  • a concise description of the delivery or product problem.

Do not send vault contents, credentials, personal journals, or other sensitive files unless they are necessary for the request and the support contact asks for a specific, minimized item.

The Seller may first offer a corrected file, restored access, or reasonable troubleshooting where that can resolve the problem without significant inconvenience. This does not delay or replace a remedy that mandatory law requires immediately.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are returned through the original payment route when reasonably possible. Processing time depends on the checkout and payment providers. Taxes and provider fees are handled according to applicable law and the provider’s rules.

When an order is refunded in full, the proprietary Lifebase license for that order ends. The customer must stop using and delete the refunded proprietary product files and unauthorized copies. The customer may keep and export their own User Content.

Mandatory rights

Nothing in this policy excludes a statutory withdrawal right, quality guarantee, charge-dispute right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. A more protective mandatory rule or checkout-provider policy applies to the extent of a conflict.
