Using multiple devices

Reading and editing notes on your phone is different from asking an AI agent to work. You can choose either setup independently.

Share Obsidian notes across devices

Sync lets your PC and other devices read and edit the same records. We consider Syncthing first for PC-to-PC use, after checking your operating systems, existing vault and sync configuration. The additional service covers one extra device; it does not change your license device limit.

iPhone and iPad support is confirmed after a consultation. Background behavior and vault location affect the workflow. We agree on the apps, any extra costs and the checks required before and after syncing. Not every device combination or sync method is supported.

Back up existing notes before setup. Afterwards, create a test note on each device and confirm changes arrive in both directions. Sync can propagate deletion and mistakes, so it does not replace a backup.

Ask your AI through Discord

Hermes setup installs the agent on a prepared computer and connects an AI account, Discord bot, channel and mobile gateway. A request from Discord on your phone goes to the agent working in Lifebase on that computer.

The host computer must remain running and online. The agent is not running on your phone, and connecting a bot does not sync Obsidian notes to the phone. Check the results in the connected Lifebase workspace.
